Trillium erectum (Stinking Benjamin)
The white flowers of course are not red, but rather white (grandiflora) trillium. The red trillium is said to smell like rotting meat to attract the flies that pollinate it. Thus the odd name. Photographed today using a Sony Cyber-shot camera near Guppy Falls at the Skaneateles Conservation Area.
